A Random Picture Review....in no specific order!

Meg and Mad started Middle School, and joined the BAND! Meg on the clarinet and Mad on the flute! They love playing!

Mason LOVE video games and HATES getting his picture taken. You will notice he is missing in many photos....sometimes it is not worth the fight! :)
As mentioned above....the tweens are almost teens! They started 7th grade this year. I hate not having them at school with me. It was an adjustment for all of us!

We have a new family member...Fluffy! The kids and I adopted her at the Kitty Carnival. Chris is beginning to like her, finally, but he insists on calling her Shadow.

We went to Maui with the entire family! Fun was had by all. We decided to splurge for a family SNUBA trip. Everyone loved it. We saw lots of fish and a big sea turtle.
We sent Mason to Camp Roger for a week, so the girls and I headed to NYC with our favorite friend Kat! We had quite an adventure.

We headed north to Palmyra for the pagent. Here we are in the Sacred Grove!
We then kept driving north and found Niagra Falls. We went on the Maid of the Mist. It was beautiful.

July 4th was spent learning how to use Chris' smoker. These are the ribs....they were oh so YUMMY!

We went to the Middle School to practice using the locker! Mason had fun hiding inside. The girls bought all kinds of decor for their lockers!

Fun was had again on the girls' cruise, but.....what happens on the ship.....stays on the ship....Right girls? :)

Both Meg and Mad won the District Science Fair. They were able to compete in the State competition at the University of Utah. Megan took 5th place in her category in the State competition.
Extreme Home Makeover came to Utah. Uncle Dave volunteered on the project so we went to visit a few times. It was exciting to see it all come together so quickly and to witness all of the volunteers working so hard.
I took a business trip to Tampa Florida and got a new pet. Meet Mr. GATOR
Mimi met me in Tampa a few days before my conference and we spend the weekend with our cousin Lisa and her daughter Lindsey. We had a great time. There is so much to see and do in Tampa.
I hate the cold.....but Mimi talked me into tubing with the kids. She guaranteed that I would not have to climb up any steep hills. We went to Soldier Hollow and rode the tubes up the hill! It was the BEST~
Meg and Mad...another year older...and still best friends.

The newest family member, Samuel Lincoln Dorris was born to David and Celeste. We are so excited to have a baby in the family again! The girls are the perfect babysitters.

Where Have we Been???

Does anyone still read this blog???
Chris came home the other day and said, "You haven't updated the blog since Hawaii"
That was in November.....and he is just now noticing? I guess he visits often! It seems that life has been moving in the FAST lane for the Sansoms. I will give a little update for each of us and work on posting a little more often.....even if nobody reads this.....I am supposed to keep a family journal! :)

Chris--He doesn't like me to post about him here....or on facebook....so we will see how long this lasts. After a L O N G time being unemployed he has recently returned to stock trading. He has been in training for the past month...and does NOT like sitting in class all day, but I do believe he enjoys being out in the workforce again. He was a stay at home dad to Dexter and our new puppy Wrigley. They miss spending their days with Chris, but have adjusted well...except our neighbor says they bark a lot during the day.

Sally--I am still as busy as ever! Full time principal, mom, soccer and baseball cheerleader, cook, chauffeur, etc. All you moms know the drill. Despite all of these responsibilities I seem to find time for reading, running, and travel. I love my job and I LOVE my hubby and kids. Life doesn't get better than that. Oh...and I lost 40 pounds!! YEAH..the trick is keeping it off now. I really want a chicken that will lay eggs in my backyard, but told Chris today that I will trade that idea for a peach tree. I saw one at Costco that already had peaches on it!

Megan--Loves school! Keeps busy taking piano lessons, playing soccer, and performing. Is such a nurturer. Takes care of the new puppy and is beginning to babysit. Reads books constantly, and her favorite author is Mary Downing. I think she has read all of her books. She is on the school broadcast team and the safety patrol. She is great at making things in the kitchen......but not so great at cleaning up! I can't believe she will be 12 in January. I still call her my tender-heart!
Madison--She also LOVES school and READING too! Recently entered the school science fair with her experiment about plant food. She is on the students council at school and often gets 100% on her tests. She enjoys being active and spending time with her sister and friends. She is confident in who she is, and is very forgiving of others, especially me! She loves playing soccer, and is good at it too! She is excelling in piano as well. Like her sister, she loves spending time creating things in the kitchen. She will also be 12 in January! WOW~

Mason--He is 100% ALL BOY. He is active as ever. He goes through the knees in pants like they are candy! He is growing tall as a weed......but is very skinny! I have to buy his pants in slim! He is playing baseball this year, and learning a lot. He loves to play outside with his best friend in their "club house"! He is an amazing student who is above level in both reading and math, but he HATES to do homework and read out loud! :) He has a strong personality that will take him far in life! He is excited to turn 8 in November because he can be baptized. He is still waiting to lose a tooth!

Random Shots.....Hawaii!

It is fun to look at these WARM Hawaii pictures while we are having 19* temperatures today!
We had so much fun!
Mason loved playing his ukelele. He took that thing everywhere.....including the beach!
Mimi and the girls loved to jump and body surf the waves. It made me a bit nervous seeing my kids out in the big waves but they sure had fun.
What a cutey pie! I love his freckled face!
Meggy and Grandma!

Dad's Birthday

Mimi, Mommy and the girls! These shots were taken from the balcony of our room! Sweet view to wake up to every morning!

Dad LOVED Bubba Gumps restauraunt. The last two times we went to Hawaii, it was over Dad's birthday. We have made a tradition of celebrating his birthday at Bubba Gumps! We always seem to get the same table....and we always order the same thing! This would have been Dad's 75th birthday! We sure do miss him!
The whole family --Mom and Mel, Ian, Dave, Celeste, Mimi, Sally, Chris, Megan, Madison, and Mason.

Nothing Beats a Maui Sunset

We arrived in Maui....and are so excited to be here! Oahu was great...but we LOVE Maui! We have an oceanfront room...so the ocean is right outside our balcony. Madison slept out there in a roll-away bed! Here are some shots of the family from our balcony! We had to take the cheesy Hawaiian shots! :)
