The Allegro Playacar

After being the last ones to board our plane (the security lines were horrible, even at 6:00 AM), we were on our way to Mexico. The kids were so excited and very well behaved on the plane. Chris and I sat together in one row, Meg and Maddy sat behind us together, and Mimi and Mason were in the back of the plane together. After arriving in Mexico and making our way through immigration and customs, we were greeted by our Funjet travel rep who loaded us into a van with 2 other couples and headed to our resort. We arrived at the Occidental Playacar and quickly checked in. Our rooms were ready, and they were right next to each other, on the bottom floor. The kids were so excited as there were hammocks on the front porches. We all spent plenty of time relaxing in those throughout the trip. We didn't waste much time, we put on our suits and sunscreen and headed straight to the pool. I made appointments with the "braid" lady to get our hair braided. The grounds of the resort were beautiful. Our rooms were right by the giant chess board!
