Throw Up, Throw Up...and MORE Throw Up
Well, we have been hearing on the news that a nasty bug has been going around. The symptoms act like the "flu"...high fever, aches, and throwing up, but it is not the "flu". Just a nasty virus. Yesterday at school Madison's teacher came and told me Maddy was not feeling well and was going to come up and see me after she tried to eat some lunch. A few minutes later, in walks my normally pink, perky Maddy all ghostly white and teary eyed. She told me her tummy hurt and she couldn't eat any lunch. I had her lay down in the sick room for a bit, but could tell she was miserable. Knowing Grandma was only a few minutes away, I called her to come take her home. About an hour after arriving at Grandma's house, the throwing up began. It didn't stop until about 2:00 AM and then the fever and headache hit. Poor poor Maddy. Mimi let Meggy stay over at her house. She took her out to dinner for cheese enchiladas (Meg's favorite) and even bought her (and Madison) a darling new outfit. Meg also asked to go to the dollar store to buy a balloon and a card for her poor sick sister! That is my tenderhearted Meggy!!!! Mommy and Maddy stayed home together and by about noon, approximately 24 hours after it all began, Maddy was feeling better. I just pray that this does not go around to the rest of us as we are spending the weekend at a condo in Park City so we can ski, ski. ski, and next week is the girls’ big birthday bash at the roller rink! I will let you know if we dodged the bullet!
