Every year we make some kind of a gingerbread house creation. This year Costco made it easy! They sold a kit complete with gingerbread, frosting, and all the candy. This was a much better deal than buying everything separately. We decided to buy three kits and let each of the kids make their own. One for our house and the other two for grandma and grams. (unfortunately we were never able to take grams her house as she has been ill.) We had so much fun decorating...and eating as we went along. Grandma made a homemade gingerbread cake in her gingerbread boy pan while we were decorating. This time we watched the oven and he didn't run away like last year. Oh how we love December Traditions! Oh, and notice the bibs in the picture....these were the bibs that the girls wore on their 1st Christmas. They had to model them when grandma found them. Where has time gone? They will be 9 next month.

hi! i'm kelly s's friend and poked over to your blog for her site. i bought that kit too this year for my little girl. it turned out cute too. i was impressed with how easy it was too! great kit for beginnings and/or for kids. probably do it again next year too if it's still available. looks like your kids had a great time decorating!
I didn't know we had y-fy down here and have been very sad. But we do, yeh. The houses look darling, it's a great tradition. Keep putting the pictures on okay, cause then I can at least see your precious family. I can't wait to see you again. LM, Grams
