Our house had been for sale since July. We had set our price based on what we needed to have for a down payment for our new house. At the listed price, it just wasn’t moving! We met with our realtor, and found out that the offer on our new house was no longer valid because the owners were going into foreclosure. This was a good thing for us because we were able to lower our offer by 70K! This made it possible for us to “clearance price” our Herriman house. Within 1 day of the price decrease, we had 4 offers. We ended up getting 10K over our asking price, but it all went so quickly! All of a sudden it was Moving Day! At this point we still were not sure our offer on the new house would be accepted, but we went ahead and sold our house. Our plans were to move into Mimi’s condo for a while, but then we were told we could “rent” our new house until the offer was approved! Since I did not want to move twice, we took them up on this offer. I decided to move the next day! I rented a moving van, and some great FRIENDS came and helped us move all of the big stuff! That night we slept in our new home….and loved it!
