WOW...What GREAT dancers!

The kids and I spent Saturday afternoon and evening at the girls' dance competition. It was a bit hectic, but tons of fun! I am so proud of the girls. They have become quite the little dancers. Their competition dance goes to the tune of Witch Doctor. It is a really cute dance. They took 2nd place. They were so proud. At the end of the competition they had a dance off. Megan won a free shirt for dancing! She even did the jump splits. OUCH! I will try and post the video of the dance if I can get somebody at school to help me get it off of the camera.

Megan and Madison are Almost 8

The girls are sooooo excited for their birthday. The doorbell has been changed from the Christmas tune to the Happy Birthday song, and they were so excited when they heard it ring today! (Thanks Daddy). After much discussion, they have finally come down with the "perfect" party plans. They really wanted to have a party on their REAL birthday. So, we have opted for a roller skating party at the local roller rink! We made up the invitation together and they wrote on all of the names and passed them out to their friends. They have invited 15 girls and Mason. I am really looking forward to roller-skating myself! Maybe we will be able to get Chris in skates this time.

Sansoms on the SLOPES!

Since Mimi bought the kids a season pass at Park City Ski Resort, we decided we had better hit the slopes while the kids are out of school. We got a bit if a late start, but all in all we had a fabulous day. Mason did such a good job this time. I can tell that his legs are getting stronger. The girls are natural skiiers. They were a little upset that we had to ride the "First Time" lift for Mason, but they were so cute cheering him on. The girls love to go off of JUMPS! They scare Mommy as they do it, and then laugh and laugh and laugh! I have so much fun watching them. After Mason was worn out, we headed to the lodge for some hot chocolate. He and I had a fun time taking pictures of each other while the girls and Mimi went to the big lift to take some runs together. The girls are really good this year.....in fact, I think they are passing me up! I had better get practicing. Uncle Dave was also up there with his friends, so we hooked up for a few runs. Mason LOVED skiing with him! Check out those cute (SAFE) helmets from Grandma! We may go up again tomorrow...if my legs can take it, but we are for sure going on Saturday to celebrate Mimi and the girls' birthday--January 6th and January 11th!

Mason's Christmas Concert

Mason finally got the chance to be the STAR! he has spent many hours watching the girls perform, and this time, he was the one on stage. His preschool class of 3 and 4 year olds sang Christmas songs and recited Christmas poems. Mason was so excited! He chose his own outfit, complete with Yellowstone Ranger hat that he calls a cowboy hat. If you know anything about Mason, you know that trying to change his outfit, or talk him out of the outfit he chose is all but IMPOSSIBLE! So, among all of the little girls with princess dresses and dolled up hair, and little boys in their Sunday best was my little boy wearing jeans, a long sleaved T-Shirt and his brown hat! He did a great job. His two favorite songs were Frosty the Snowman and Once There was a Snowman. The actions he did were so cute. You will have to ask him to sing a song or two for you!

A Holiday Celebration...Meggy and Maddy's Dance Recital

Last Saturday was the Dance Recital for Tiffany Dance Co. Megan and Madison did a hip hop dance to Better Watch Out. I will post the video after I figure out how to get it off my camera. I was so proud of them. I was all teary eyed watching them as they danced, because it really shows how much they have grown. I have been used to the little dances where they move their arms and tap their feet, but this dance was much more. They are on a mini dance team this year and will even get to go to a few competitions. Grandma made it home from Hawaii a few hours before the recital, so she was able to see them perform. Mimi and Nana were there too! Mason was their biggest cheerleader!
